6.1

Land Use, etc.

6.1.1

Discretionary Use Application – Residential Care Home Type II – 1637 and 1639 1st Avenue North [CK 4355-022-007]

The following documents are provided:

• Report of the General Manager, Community Services, dated October 17, 2022; and
• Letter from the Municipal Planning Commission, dated October 28, 2022.

The City Planner advises that notification posters have been sent to all adjacent landowners within 150 metres of the site.

• Recommendation

  That the Discretionary Use Application submitted by Eagles Nest Youth Ranch requesting approval to operate a Residential Care Home - Type II at 1637 and 1639 1st Avenue North, for a maximum of six residents and three staff members, be approved, subject to the following conditions:

  1. The applicant obtains a Development Permit and all other relevant permits and licences, including a Building Permit; and
  2. The final plans submitted be substantially in accordance with the plans submitted in support of this Discretionary Use Application.

6.1.2

Proposed Zoning by Agreement – 109 Secord Way - Brighton [CK 4351-022-014]

• Recommendation

Proposed Rosewood Neighbourhood Concept Plan Amendment – R1A to R1B District, R1A(H) to R1B(H) [CK 4351-022-013]

The following documents are provided:

• Letter from the Municipal Planning Commission, dated October 28, 2022; and
• Notice that appeared in the Star Phoenix on November 5 and 7, 2022.

• Recommendation

  That proposed amendments to the Rosewood Neighbourhood Concept Plan as outlined in the October 25, 2022 report of the General Manager, Community Services, be approved.

Proposed Rosewood Neighbourhood Rezoning – R1A to R1B District, R1A(H) to R1B(H) [CK 4351-022-013]

• Proposed Bylaw No. 9850;
