Mayor Clark called the Public Hearing Meeting to order on Treaty 6 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Metis people.  Roll call was taken.

Mayor Clark introduced the matter and a motion to consider the recommendation was put forward.

Darryl Dawson, Development Review Section Manager, Community Services Department, reviewed the Rosewood Concept Plan amendment and expressed the Department's support.

Diane Bentley, Chair, Municipal Planning Commission, expressed the Commission's support of the Rosewood Concept Plan amendment.

Council heard from the following speakers on this matter:

It was noted that Evan Ostertag withdrew his request to address Council.  

The proponent provided a response regarding the eastern boundary.

Mayor Clark introduced the matter and a motion to consider first reading of Bylaw No. 9750 was passed.
 
Darryl Dawson, Development Review Section Manager, Community Services Department, reviewed the proposed rezoning and expressed the Department's support.
 
Diane Bentley, Chair, Municipal Planning Commission, expressed the Commission's support of the rezoning.
 
Jeff Drexel and Mohamed Kotb indicated that they had nothing further to add from their presentation in 6.1.1.
 
It was noted that Evan Ostertag withdrew his request to address Council.

Mayor Clark introduced the matter and a motion to consider the recommendation was put forward.

Darryl Dawson, Development Review Section Manager, Community Services Department, reviewed the Concept Plan amendment and expressed the Department's support.  He advised that amendment area 6 as shown on the Brighton Concept Plan Amendment map (Appendix 1 of Administrations Report) was requested to be withdrawn by the applicant after the report was scheduled for the April meeting of the Municipal Planning Commission. The Municipal Planning Commission was advised of the applicants request and that amendment area 6 was no longer part of the requested amendments to the Concept Plan. That amendment was not included in the ad for the Public Hearing and is not part of the amendments being considered by City Council.

Diane Bentley, Chair, Municipal Planning Commission, expressed the Commission's support of the Discretionary Use.

Brad Zurevinsky, proponent, spoke regarding this matter.
