Saskatoon Accessibility Advisory Committee - Request for Policy and Program Options to Promote Permanent Accessibility Improvements to Buildings [File No. CK 6220-1] 

A letter dated January 31, 2018 from the Saskatoon Accessibility Advisory Committee, along with the referenced letter from Mr. Randy Pshebylo, Riversdale Business Improvement District is provided.

The Standing Policy Committee on Finance, at its meeting held on February 12, 2018, considered the communication and resolved that the matter be referred to the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation.

• Recommendation

  That the direction of Committee issue.

6.1.2

Traffic Safety Funding, City of Saskatoon [File No. CK 5300-1]

The attached report of the Saskatoon Police Service was considered by the Board of Police Commissioners at its meeting held on February 15, 2018.  The Board resolved to receive the report as information and also to refer the report to the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation for its review.

• Recommendation

  That the information be received.

• Recommendation

  That the 2017 Annual Report of the Traffic Safety Committee be received as information and forwarded to City Council for information.

  That the report of the General Manager, Transportation & Utilities Department dated March 12, 2018, be received as information.

Roadway/Sidewalk Preservation Carry-over and Project Planning Improvements [Files CK 6315-1, x6220-1 and TS 6000-1]

• Recommendation

  That the report of the General Manager, Transportation & Utilities Department dated March 12, 2018, be received as information.

7.1.3

Erindale/Arbor Creek Neighbourhood Traffic Review [Files CK 6320-1 and TS 6320-1]

• Recommendation

  That the report of the General Manager, Transportation & Utilities Department dated March 12, 2018, be received as information.

Matters Requiring Direction

7.2.1

Rail Relocation versus Grade Separation Feasibility Study – Phase 1 Report [Files CK 6170-1 and  TS 6170-1]

A powerpoint presentation will be provided.

• Recommendation

  That the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation recommend to City Council:

  That Phase 2 of the Rail Relocation versus Grade Separation Feasibility Study proceed with a modified scope as outlined in the report of the General Manager, Transportation & Utilities Department dated March 12, 2018.

Commercial Billboards on Public Right-of-Way [Files CK 6280-1, x4225-1 and  TS 6320-1]

• Recommendation

  That the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation recommend to City Council:

  That additional billboards on public right-of-way not be installed due to public safety reasons.

7.2.3

Decorative Crosswalks Policy [Files CK 6150-0 and TS 6150-1]

• Recommendation

  That the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation recommend to City Council:

  That the proposed Decorative Crosswalks Policy be approved.

7.2.4

Trapeze OPS Payroll Module Configurations - Award of Contract [Files CK 261-2 and TR 7300-1]

• Recommendation

  That the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation recommend to City Council:

  1. That the City enter into an agreement with Trapeze Software ULC for the installation of required configurations to the Trapeze OPS Payroll Module for a total cost of $94,184 (including applicable taxes); and
  2. That Purchasing Services issue the appropriate purchase order.

7.2.5

Street Sweeper Broom Materials - Blanket Purchase Order [Files CK 1000-1, x6315-3 and PW 6315-3]

• Recommendation

  That the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation recommend to City Council:

  1. That the Administration prepare a blanket purchase order with Fer-Marc Equipment Ltd. for the supply of street sweeper broom materials for a one-year term, with two additional optional one-year terms, for a total estimated cost of $300,000 (including taxes); and
  2. That Purchasing Services issue the appropriate purchase order.
