Mayor Clark called the Public Hearing Meeting to order on Treaty 6 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Métis People at 6:11 p.m. He confirmed attendance via teleconference.

Mayor Clark introduced the matter and a motion to approve the recommendation was put forward.

Darryl Dawson, Development Review Section Manager, Community Services Department, reviewed the proposed Concept Plan Amendment with a PowerPoint and expressed the Department's support. He responded to questions of Council.

Diane Bentley, Chair, Municipal Planning Commission, expressed the Commission's support of the proposed Concept Plan Amendment.

Toby Esterby, Camponi Housing Corporation, spoke regarding the affordable housing project and asked for Council's support.

Hunchul Park, resident on Hart Road, spoke in opposition of the proposed development.

Cindy Baumung, resident on Hart Road, spoke in opposition of the proposed development.

James Allemeersch, resident on Hart Road, spoke in opposition of the proposed development.

Laura Hicks, resident on Hart Road, spoke in favour of the proposed development.

Michael Jones, resident of the Parkridge extension, spoke in opposition of the proposed development.

Toby Esterby provided clarification that the project will be a three-story development.

Due to the response to COVID-19, there was no attendance by members of the public and therefore no speakers from the gallery.

Mayor Clark introduced the matter and a motion to consider first reading of Bylaw No. 9721 was passed.
 
Darryl Dawson, Development Review Section Manager, Community Services Department, reviewed the proposed rezoning with slides and expressed the Department's support. 
 
Diane Bentley, Chair, Municipal Planning Commission, expressed the Commission's support of the proposed rezoning.
 
Toby Esterby, Camponi Housing Corporation, indicated that he was present to respond to any questions.
 
Hunchul Park, resident on Hart Road, spoke regarding the height of the proposed development.
 
Cindy Baumung, resident on Hart Road, spoke regarding her experience with the public engagement process.
 
Mayor Clark ascertained that James Allemeersch, Laura Hicks, and Michael Jones were no longer present on the call.
 
Due to the response to COVID-19, there was no attendance by members of the public and therefore no speakers from the gallery.
