  • Recommendation
    1. That the letter from the Saskatoon Environmental Advisory Committee - Development of the Swale, dated May 29, 2019 and accompanying file be added to Item 7.1.2.;
    2. That the letter from Dorothy Van't Hof dated June 6, 2019, requesting to speak be added to Item 7.1.5;
    3. That items with speakers be heard first following consideration of Unfinished Business; and
    4. That the agenda be confirmed as amended.
  • Recommendation

    That the minutes of regular meeting of the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation held on May 6, 2019 be adopted.

The following proposed budget is submitted for consideration for inclusion in the 2020 Business Plan and Budget:

Saskatoon Accessibility Advisory Committee - $3,000 (same as 2019) as follows:

Conferences and Education - $3,000

  • Recommendation

    That the proposed budget of the Saskatoon Accessibility Advisory Committee be included in the 2020 Business Plan and Budget for consideration at that time.

    That the direction of Committee issue.

An information report is provided.

A letter from the Saskatoon Environmental Advisory Committee, dated May 29, 2019, has been added to this item along with the submitted comments from the following:

  • Louse Jones, Northeast Swale Watchers, dated June 6, 2019;
  • Meghan Mickelson, Endangered Grasslands Alliance, dated June 7, 2019;
  • Penny McKinlay, dated June 7, 2019; and
  • John Krowina, dated June 7, 2019.

An approval report is provided.

  • Recommendation

    That the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation recommend to City Council that the City Solicitor be requested to amend Bylaw No. 9070, The Taxi Bylaw, 2014, to award temporary wheelchair accessible taxi licenses to individual drivers through a sole source contract, as outlined in the report of the General Manager, Community Services Department dated June 10, 2019.

  • Recommendation

    That the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation recommend to City Council:

    That Council Policy C07-007, Traffic Control – Use of Stop and Yield Signs be revised as per the details provided in the report of the General Manager, Transportation & Construction Department dated June 10, 2019.
