PUBLIC HEARING MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL

For Public Hearings, anyone present in the gallery who wishes to address Council on the agenda items, will be heard. If you are wanting to address a hearing virtually, you must register with the City Clerk's Office using the link saskatoon.ca/writetocouncil .

The Chair will call the Public Hearing meeting to order on Treaty 6 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Métis People and confirm roll call.

  • Recommendation
    1. That the letters from Leah Lopez, SaskBuilds and Procurement, and Diana Hawryluk, Veracity Planning Solutions, dated January 25, 2024, be added to Item 6.2.1; and
    2. That the agenda be approved as amended.
  • Recommendation

    That the minutes of the Public Hearing meeting of City Council held on December 20, 2023 be approved.

The following documents are provided:

  • Report of the Transportation and Construction Division, dated January 31, 2024;
  • Proposed Bylaw No. 9956;
  • Notice that appeared in the Star Phoenix on January 13 and 15, 2024; and
  • Letters from Leah Lopez, SaskBuilds and Procurement, and Diana Hawryluk, Veracity Planning Solutions, dated January 25, 2024, indicating they will be available for questions.
  • Recommendation
    1. That City Council consider Bylaw No. 9956 - The Street Closing Bylaw, 2024;
    2. That after closure, the former right-of-way be sold to the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement for $29,840.00 + GST;
    3. That all costs associated with closure be paid by the applicant, including Solicitor’s fees and disbursements.
