A request to speak from Dion Waniandy, dated July 10, 2025, was provided.

Mr. Waniandy presented to the Board regarding his experience with Saskatoon Police, raising concerns about evidence handling, privacy, and police conduct.

Vice Chair Lagimodiere reported that Joanne Smallbones, a former police officer, presented to the Board in the past about the Children’s Advocacy Centre, a collaborative initiative modeled after the Sheldon Kennedy Centre in Alberta, aiming to provide a safe, one-stop location for children and victims of abuse to access police, social services, and health support.

    That the Board provide a letter of support for the development and fundraising efforts of the Children’s Advocacy Centre Initiative in Saskatoon.

Vice Chair Lagimodiere introduced the item. 

The Board received and reviewed Mr. Ashu Solo’s correspondence containing 50 recommendations to enhance Saskatoon Police Service.

Commissioner Jeffries left the meeting at 4:29 p.m.

The Board completed its In Camera session at 4:29 p.m. and reconvened publicly to rise and report, as follows:
