Mayor Clark introduced the matter and a motion to consider first reading of Bylaw Nos. 9818 and 9823 were passed.
 
Paula Kotasek-Toth, Senior Planner, Community Services Division, reviewed the proposed amendments to the Zoning Bylaw with a PowerPoint and expressed the Division's support.
 
Joshua Delainey, Chair, Municipal Planning Commission, expressed the Commission's support for proposed amendments #1, #2, #3, and #5.  In addition, he noted the Commission wanted clarification of the definition of “habitable living area”.

    3. That the City Solicitor be requested to prepare the appropriate agreements and that His Worship the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to execute the agreements under the Corporate Seal.

General Manager, Transportation and Utilities Schmidt provided an overview of the proposed right-of-way closure.  General Manager, Community Services Lacroix provided context regarding the closure as it relates to the permanent outdoor festival site with a PowerPoint.
