7.1

Discretionary Use Application – Residential Care Home - Type II – 334 Taskamanwa Street [MPC2024-0501]

A report of the Community Services Division is provided.

• Recommendation

  That the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division be forwarded to City Council recommending that at the time of the Public Hearing, the Discretionary Use Application submitted by Chuck Hank, requesting approval to operate a Residential Care Home - Type II at 334 Taskamanwa Street, for a maximum of 15 residents and two staff members, be approved, subject to the following conditions:

  1. The applicant obtains a Development Permit and all other relevant permits and licences, including a Building Permit; and
  2. The final plans submitted be substantially in accordance with the plans submitted in support of this Discretionary Use Application.

Discretionary Use Application – Residential Care Home - Type II – 338 Taskamanwa Street [MPC2024-0503]

A report of the Community Services Division is provided.

• Recommendation

  That the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division be forwarded to City Council recommending that at the time of the Public Hearing, the Discretionary Use Application submitted by Ezajul Chowdhury, requesting approval to operate a Residential Care Home - Type II at 338 taskamanwa Street, for a maximum of 15 residents and two staff members, be approved, subject to the following conditions:

  1. The applicant obtains a Development Permit and all other relevant permits and licences, including a Building Permit; and
  2. The final plans submitted be substantially in accordance with the plans submitted in support of this Discretionary Use Application.

Housing Accelerator Fund – Residential Care Homes [GPC2023-0503]

A report of the Community Services Division is provided.

• Recommendation

  That a copy of the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division be submitted to City Council recommending that, at the time of the public hearing, City Council consider Administration’s recommendation that the proposed amendments to Bylaw No. 8770, Zoning Bylaw, 2009, as outlined in the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division, be approved.

7.4

Corridor Growth Boundary and Land Use Amendments [GPC2023-0503]

A report of the Community Services Division is provided.

• Recommendation

  That a copy of the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division be submitted to City Council recommending that, at the time of the public hearing, City Council consider Administration’s recommendation that the proposed amendments to Bylaw No. 9700, The Official Community Plan, 2020, as outlined in the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division, be approved.

Housing Accelerator Fund – Official Community Plan Amendments [GPC2023-0503]

A report of the Community Services Division is provided along with the following letters submitting comments:

• Recommendation

  That a copy of the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division be submitted to City Council recommending that at the time of the public hearing, City Council consider Administration’s recommendation that the proposed amendments to Bylaw No. 9700, Official Community Plan Bylaw, 2020, as outlined in the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division, be approved.

7.6

Housing Accelerator Fund – Permitting Up to Four Units in all Residential Zoning Districts [GPC2023-0503]

A report of the Community Services Division is provided along with the following letter submitting comments:

• Recommendation
  1. That a copy of the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division be submitted to City Council recommending that at the time of the public hearing City Council consider Administration’s recommendation that the proposed amendments to Bylaw No. 8770, Zoning Bylaw, 2009, as outlined in the May 28, 2024 report of the Community Services Division, be approved; and
  2. That City Council instruct the City Solicitor to prepare any necessary consequential amendments to Bylaw 9958, Building Bylaw, 2024.
