The Chair called the meeting to order.

REPORTS FROM ADMINISTRATION

7.1

Development Application Fee Bylaw Related Amendments [File No. CK. 4350-70]

A report of the General Manager, Community Services Department was provided. Senior Project Planner Gutmann reviewed the submitted report and responded to questions of the Commission along with Director of Planning and Development Anderson.

Following discussion the Commission was further informed that a copy of the proposed bylaw will not be available for review until it is available to the public. The Commission was also informed that key stakeholders have recently been advised of the proposed fee bylaw in August and that the fees, to be included in the forthcoming bylaw, will be included in the 2021 budget. No concerns were expressed.

  That the Municipal Planning Commission forward a copy of this report to City Council recommending that at the time of the public hearing, City Council consider the Administration’s recommendation that the proposed amendments to Bylaw No. 8770, Zoning Bylaw, 2009 and Bylaw No. 6537, Subdivision Bylaw, 1985, as outlined in this report, be approved.

2020 Budget Expenditures

The Commission discussed utilizing the 2020 budget.  Members are to provide education and awareness options to the Committee Assistant for review at the November 2020 meeting.
