Mayor Clark called the meeting to order on Treaty 6 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Métis People. He took roll call to determine attendance via teleconference.

    1. That correspondence from the following be included with Item 4.1:
      • Crystal Lawrence, dated May 20, 2020;
      • Brent Penner, Executive Director, Downtown Saskatoon, dated May 21, 2020; and
    2. That the agenda be confirmed as amended.

There were no declarations of conflict of interest.

Mayor Clark ascertained that Councillor Davies was on the teleconference. 

A report of the Governance and Priorities Committee was provided.

The following letters submitting comments were also provided:

  • Crystal Lawrence, dated May 20, 2020; and
  • Brent Penner, Executive Director, Downtown Saskatoon, dated May 21, 2020.

Mayor Clark introduced the item.  Director of Community Standards Richter identified that recommendation 3 should be revised to read "2019/2020 RPP permits" and responded to questions of Council.

    1.  That the reinstatement of provision for pay parking and restrictions on length of time period on the street be effective May 25, 2020;

    2. That Administration be directed to re-instate the Residential Parking Permit program effective May 25, 2020;

    3.  That expired 2019/2020 RPP permits continue to be honoured until such time that a process has been resolved for renewals, in compliance with physical distancing provisions of the provincial emergency order; and

    4.  That the disabled parking program provisions as outlined in the report of the General Manager, Community Services Department dated May 19, 2020, be approved.
