The Deputy City Clerk called the meeting to order on Treaty 6 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Métis people, and confirmed roll call of the members in attendance via teleconference.

City Council, at its Regular Business Meeting held on September 27, 2021 made the following appointments for 2022:

SPC on Transportation
Councillor R. Donauer
Councillor B. Dubois
Councillor D. Hill
Councillor Z. Jeffries
Councillor D. Kirton

The Committee was requested to appoint a Chair and Vice Chair for 2022.

Councillor Dubois was appointed Chair for 2021 and Councillor Jeffries was appointed Vice Chair for 2021.

    That Councillor Dubois be appointed Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation for 2022.

    In Favour: (6)Councillor Donauer, Councillor Dubois, Councillor Kirton, Councillor Jeffries, Councillor Hill, and Mayor Clark
    CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

    Councillor Dubois assumed the Chair and opened nominations for Vice-Chair.

    That Councillor Jeffries be appointed Vice-Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation for 2022.

  • Moved By:Councillor Hill
    1. That the letter requesting to speak from Diane Bentley, Hudson Bay Park/ Mayfair/ Kelsey Woodlawn Community Association, dated January 6, 2022 be added to item 8.1.3; 
    2. That the matter with a speaker be considered immediately following Adoption of Minutes;

    3. That the agenda be confirmed as amended.

A letter from Sherry Tarasoff, dated January 4, 2022 was provided.

Director of Saskatoon Transit McDonald and General Manager, Transportation & Construction Schmidt responded to questions of the Committee.

Councillor Gough left the meeting at 2:55 p.m.

General Manager, Transportation & Construction Schmidt introduced the matter.

Director of Transportation Magus responded to questions of the Committee.

The Committee heard from Diane Bentley, Hudson Bay Park/ Mayfair/ Kelsey Woodlawn Community Association on the matter.
