CALL TO ORDER

The Chair called the Public Hearing Meeting to order on Treaty 6 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Métis People and confirmed roll call.

Public Notice Matters

6.2.1

Intent to Borrow – 2022 Roadways Emergency Response Borrowing [CC2023-0203]

The following documents were provided:

• Report of the Chief Financial Officer, dated February 22, 2023; and
• Notice that appeared in the Star Phoenix on February 11, 2023. 

A motion putting forward the recommendations was made.  

A/Chief Financial Officer Smith presented the report and responded to questions of Council.

The Mayor ascertained that there was no one in the gallery who wished to address Council on this matter and no submissions were received.

  Seconded By: Councillor Block

  That City Council authorize the following planned borrowing:

  1. Up to $20,000,000 to finance the 2022 Snow Response;
  2. An allowable 10% variance on the borrowing requirements for the project identified. Any variance greater than 10% of the borrowing amount identified would require a new public notice.

  In Favour: (9)	Councillor Jeffries, Mayor C. Clark, Councillor Donauer, Councillor Loewen, Councillor Gough, Councillor Block, Councillor Gersher, Councillor Dubois, and Councillor Kirton
