The Chair called the meeting to order on Treaty 6 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Métis People and confirmed roll call.

  • Moved By:Councillor Pearce
    1. That the letter submitting comments from Sherry Tarasoff, dated October 6, 2025, be added to item 6.3.2;
    2. That the letter requesting to speak from Robert Clipperton, Bus Riders of Saskatoon, dated October 5, 2025, be added to item 6.3.3; 
    3. That the item with a speaker be considered immediately following unfinished business:
      • 6.3.3
        • Robert Clipperton;
    4. That the agenda be confirmed as amended.

    Item 6.3.3 was considered next.


A report of the Transportation and Construction Division was provided.

Director of Transportation Magus presented the report and responded to questions of committee.

  • Moved By:Councillor Ford

    That the Standing Policy Committee on Transportation recommend to City Council that the transfer of funds, as indicated below, be approved:

    1. $300,000 from Capital Project P.02288 Transportation Safety be returned to the Traffic Safety Reserve;
    2. $500,000 be allocated from the Traffic Safety Reserve to Capital Project P.01512 Neighbourhood Traffic Management;
    3. $200,000 from Capital Project P.02288 Transportation Safety be returned to the Transportation Infrastructure Reserve; and
    4. $200,000 be allocated from the Transportation Infrastructure Reserve to Capital Project P.01512 Neighbourhood Traffic Management.

A report of the Transportation and Construction Division was provided.

Director of Transportation Magus presented the report and responded to questions of committee.

A report of the City Manager's Office was provided along with a letter requesting to speak from Robert Clipperton, Bus Riders of Saskatoon, dated October 5, 2025.

Chief Public Policy and Government Relations Officer Jordan presented the report with a PowerPoint. He, along with General Manager, Transportation and Construction Division Schmidt, Director of Communications and Public Engagement Blumers, Director of Saskatoon Transit Moellenbeck and City Manager Jorgenson responded to questions of the Committee.

The Committee heard from Robert Clipperton of Bus Riders of Saskatoon.
