Chief McBride spoke to the following:

  • Attended Sikh Parade on May 18, 2025.
  • Attended Reconciliation Flag Raising Ceremony on May 26, 2025.
  • Attended the Saskatoon Sexual Assault and Information Centre’s 50th Anniversary Gala on May 30, 2025.
  • Participated in the Prime Minister reception on June 1, 2025.
  • Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Crash Car Campaign kicked on June 5, 2025.
  • Deputy Chief Pringle participated in the MADD Annual Memorial on June 7, 2025.
  • Police recruitment class graduated on June 6, 2025 from Saskatoon Police College. There were 15 recruits that returned.
  • Several SPS members attended the 39th Annual Hindu Vegetarian Banquet on June 7, 2025.
  • Equity and Culture Engagement Unit hosted the annual Pride BBQ on June 12, 2025. They raised $2259 to contribute to Camp Caterpillar for summer programming.
  • SPS Members will be participating in the Pride Parade on June 22, 2025. The Board is welcome to join.
  • Deputy Chief Pringle and A/Superintendent N. Berg will be participating in the Ward 2 Town Hall meeting on June 20, 2025.
  • Deputy Chief Pringle will be participating in the events on National Indigenous Day on June 21, 2025.
  • The annual SPS Community BBQ is scheduled for July 9, 2025.
  • The Service Centre hours have been adjusted to 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., 7 days per week, to address community concerns for accessibility.
  • On the one-year anniversary, June 12, 2025, SPS released a video regarding the Harvy Zoerb homicide calling for community involvement.
  • SPS has recently released media advisories regarding motorcycle incidents. SPS will continue to do public advisory type media releases to bring awareness to traffic safety.
