  • Vice Chair J. Lagimodiere and Chief C. McBride met to discuss topics to be covered at this meeting. 

Chief C. McBride provided the following verbal updates:

  • January 26 –  presented regarding professionalism and ethics at SaskPolytech Criminal Justice Studies Program
  • January 28 –  attended St. Paul’s Front Entry and Healing Centre grand opening ceremony
  • January 28 –  received updates from SPS Director of IT, Dale Johnstone, regarding the continuous work on AI Roadmap 
  • January 29 –  attended newsconference with Minister Weger regarding funding for Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods 
  • January 29 –  attended the swearing-in ceremony for the new Chief of Regina Police Service, L. Davies
  • January 31 – attended People's Bridge Advocacy Annual Champions for Change Gala 
  • January 31 – Deputy Chief D. Pringle attended Swinging with the Stars with Commissioner Santos Ong as one of the contenders
  • February 1 – attended SPS Const. S. Lynden's TedX talk, Reconciliation in Policing, held at University of SK
  • February 10 – attended the Huskies Women of Influence Breakfast
  • February 12 and 13 – attended the panel discussion related to justice and building of trust within the community at the Afrocentric Symposium
  • Alternative Response Officers Shannon and DeCorby spearheaded this year's Winter Clothing Drive
  • Acknowledged the passing of an Elder, member of the Chief’s Advisory Committee, Melvina Eagle
  • Public Advisory regarding the release and re-capture of Kyle Hameluck
  • Investigation led by the Crime Reduction Team resulted in the arrest of two men facing at least 20 charges
  • March 5 – SPS to host Data Destruction and Recycling Program. Members of the public welcome.
