Ten SPS Officers graduated; Out of 15 individuals interviewed, 11 of them will go to Saskatchewan Police College and an additional person who wasn't able to finish earlier in the year; Community Engagement Division hosted the 4th Annual Pride BBQ on June 19, 2024, proceeds went to LGBTQIA2S+ youth initiatives. SPS have also be asked to participate in the Pride Parade on June 22, 2024; Deputy Chief Pringle, along with other SPS members will attend and take part in National Indigenous Peoples Day events on June 21, 2024; Chief McBride's Swearing in Ceremony is scheduled for June 25, 2024; Provided an update on an operational plan that took place from June 13 to 16, 2024 in the Confederation Suburban area. Purpose of the plan was to deter, detect and investigate activities related to theft, public intoxication and suspicious activities in the 300 and 400 blocks of Confederation Drive. As a result, 11 arrests were made including mischief to property, public intoxication, and thefts; and An operational plan in the Criminal Investigations Division started June 19, 2024 and will run for two weeks to provide high visibility and enforcement in response to crime in areas that are experiencing an increase in violent crime. An update will be provided at a later date.
