The Chair will call the meeting to order on Treaty 6 Territory and the Traditional Homeland of the Métis People and confirm roll call.

  • Recommendation
    1. That the letter from Deputy City Solicitor Manastyrski, dated September 12, 2024 be added as Urgent Business Item 7.1 - Police Services Agreement - The Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners and Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation;
    2. That the letter from Deputy City Solicitor Manastyrski, dated September 12, 2024 be added as Urgent Business Item 7.2 - Police Services Agreement - The Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners and Muskeg Lake Cree Nation; and
    3. That the agenda be confirmed as amended.

    That the minutes of the public Board of Police Commissioners meeting held on August 15, 2024, be adopted.

    That the Board approve the 2025 Capital Budget estimates and 2026-2029 Capital Plan and forward to Saskatoon City Council for further consideration and approval.

At its meeting held on June 20, 2024 the Board considered a presentation from Keith Moen, NSBA Saskatoon's Business Association and resolved that the Saskatoon Police Service report back on opportunities to implement additional online and in person crime reporting options including Waitwell functionality and online reporting for property crimes over $5000 through Cop Logic.


In this regard, a report of the Chief of Police is provided.

A letter from Deputy City Solicitor Manastyrski, dated September 12, 2024, is provided along with a copy of the agreement.

    1. That the Board of Police Commissioners approve the proposed Police Services Agreement; and
    2. That the Board Chair and Secretary to the Board be authorized to execute the agreement.

    That the Board move In Camera to consider matters exempt to the public under its Governance Policy No. 12.4, Section 10(2) of The Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners Bylaw No. 7531, Section 27(15) of The Police Act, 1990, and Section 16(1)(b) and (d), 21 and 28 of The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
